Today was a rest day and we didn't have to be up early for breakfast. We intended to have a really lazy day and that is just what we did. In the morning we wandered around the gardens and looked at the local shops. In the early afternoon we had both booked a massage, after which we went to the pool and had a swim and a sunbathe - underneath the sunshade.
That evening we were on our way out to our local restaurant when we bumped into Clive and Beryl from the boat, who were also on their way to the same place. We walked across with them and enjoyed another good meal with interesting company. When we were on the boat Clive and Beryl did not come on many of the tours with us because he was convalescing from an illness. The pair of them used to sit on deck every day and drink rum and whisky. We were all amazed at the amount they tucked away every day. When we all settled our bar bills at the end of the cruise we thought he would have to rob a bank to pay his but in fact it wasn't that bad. He told us that they had had to slow down a bit in the hotel because everything was more expensive but they came to the same restaurant each evening because their booze was cheaper.
